Returns

Before returning any goods you must contact us first. We understand that customers might occasionally wish to return items, and we are happy to meet our obligations to refund according to our policy below:

  1. In all cases you must contact us within 7 days of receiving the item. This can be via email or phone in the first instance, but we will need a written record of your request within 7 days, so please email hmm@oxfordstyleantiques.com.
  2. Provide the reason for return, the item reference number, the description listed on your written receipt (which was included with your delivery) and the item reference number from your PayPal receipt which will have been e-mailed to you by PayPal.
  3. You can expect a refund via PayPal within 10 working days of our receiving your return.

All products available to purchase from Oxford Style Antiques are listed with as much relevant information as we can provide. Assessing the age of an item can be difficult, but we rely on our own personal knowledge to make an informed calculation when listing an item. Obviously it is in the nature of second-hand items that they will have experienced some wear and tear. The listing of each product gives our assessment of the items condition and we endeavour to give an informed judgement with the information available to us.

Upon the successful "same condition" return of an item, Oxford Style Antiques will refund a client the item purchase price (excluding any postage and packaging costs) if you are unhappy with the item purchased. Such a refund can be agreed and arranged only following discussion with Oxford Style Antiques.

Where damage is present on an item as shipped we will highlight it within the item description, so please take your time to view all photographs and read all notes relevant to the item listed. We would advise that you discuss with us any pre-purchase doubts, concerns, or questions prior to your online purchase.

If you believe the item has been misrepresented on the website or somehow we sent you a different item to the one you selected and paid for, then please email us at hmm@oxfordstyleantiques.com within 7 days of receipt of the goods. It is important that you provide a description of the item you received, the item reference number on the receipt supplied with your item, and the item reference on your PayPal receipt.

We will give you instructions regarding the return posting method or courier service. Please send back the item with due care in its original or equivalent packaging, and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid. Refunded amounts are strictly limited to the price paid for items.

Change of mind

If the goods have been delivered and you decide you do not wish to keep them, you MUST inform us of your intention to return them to us within 7 days of receipt of the goods by e-mail to hmm@oxfordstyleantiques.com. You will need to give the item reference number and description. The item reference number will be listed on your written receipt (included with your delivery).

The item must be returned using the same delivery method as it was supplied. It must be packaged with due care and using the same or equivalent packaging materials and methods as it was supplied to you. If you choose to use an alternative courier to ours then you MUST check that the insurance covers damage to Antiques and Collectables or the material or type of object, as you are solely responsible for any postage issues. The cost and method of returning the goods to us must be borne and arranged by you, and the item must be returned to the specified return address within 14 days of purchase, undamaged, in its original condition. Any items returned that fail to comply with the above may affect our ability to issue a full refund.

Damaged item

We take every possible precaution to prevent damage in transit and go beyond the packaging requirements for all our items. We personally package and check each item thoroughly before final dispatch takes place. However we have scant control over goods during transit, other than selecting reputable postage and courier services.

If your item has been damaged in transit, you can return it within 14 days of receipt for a refund providing you notify us of such damage within 7 days of receipt of the goods. Please email hmm@oxfordstyleantiques.com quoting your order number for returns. You will need to provide a statement confirming the damage and keep a photograph of the damaged package or item.
